1. Much before 36 million years ago, a new category of mammals emerged, namely, primates in Asia, Africa etc
2. They belong to a larger group of mammals and in this category, species like monkeys, apes and humans are included
3. They have unique features like body hair, long birth period, mammary glands for feeding their kids, teeth, and maintenance of their body temperature according to the climatic conditions
