Write the compostionof air and explain why we feel suffocation in a closed room.
Dear user,
Composition of air: It contains nitrogen in the maximum amount. Nitrogen: 78%, Oxygen: 21%. Air also contains argon, CO2, neon, helium, methane and water vapour, but these are present in very less quantity that is less than 1%.
In a closed room, there is no ventilation. There is no exchange of air between the room and the outdoors. Hence, we feel suffocated in a closed room as our body requires a continuous exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
Regards.
