The grandfather in the story 'A Tiger in the House' was very compassionate and caring. That's why, instead of hunting the cub, he actually brought it in his as a pet. Even he could be regarded as really wise for judging the change in the nature of Timothy at the right time. Also he may be regarded as a bit over-confident towards the end of the story. Instead of confirming the fact whether it was his Timothy or not, the act of the grandfather could have put his life into real trouble!
