Franz was frightened as he had not prepared for his lesson on participles which was to be discussed in his class that day. Also, he got late to reach the school because of the rush on his way to school due to the announcement. Thus, he was in a great dread as he knew that he was going to be scolded at by his strict language teacher, Mr. M.Hamel.
