Industrial Revolution began in England due to various reasons:

a. Britain had plenty of natural resources including coal and iron .

b. The entrepreneurs were intending to make money and were wealthy enough to make sufficient investment.

c. Britain had institutions like Royal Society for promotion and innovation of new machines.

d. Agricultural Revolution made many farmers unemployed which build up a huge labour force for factories.

e. The British market was well set up for industrial products.

f . The climate in Britain was good with plenty of rainfall which would be helpful for running water wheels all the year round.

Industrial revolution in Britain bought the following social consequences:

a. It gave rise to a new style of urban living. People from rural areas started to migrate to the urban areas in huge number.
