who were mansabdars and jagirdars
Those people who joined Mughal service were known as mansabdars.
- They held a position or rank which denoted their rank, salary and position in court.
- Mansabdars received revenue assignments as jagirs.
- They had servants to collect the rents of the jagir.
- They did not have the right to administer or reside in their jagirs.
- They were also known as jagirdars.
