When is the pressure on the ground more-when a man is lying or when a man is standing. Explain?
As,
Force applied by the body is same in both the cases.But pressure i.e
Pressure = Force / Area
is more when man is standing because area in contact is more when body is lying.as we know pressure is inversely proportional to area.So,when area is more pressure is less.In case when man is standing area in contact is less so pressure is more.
