Well we don't exactly see an object . We (brain) makes sense out of the light rays it receives on the retina. For example let's say there is an object right in front of you and it is daytime so you are able to see the object and in the night time will you be able to see the same object ?(complete darkness) …No you won't be able to ,but you should right ? The object is still right in front of you.
