Subadar(Political Head), Faujdar(Military head) and also held the position of the Diwan(Financial head). A good theory why he took so many psots is that he wanted complete power over awadh and as Muhammed Shah ruled the Mughal 'empire'(This was the state of the mughals in those days) saadat khan could not declare himself King of Awadh as Muhammed Shah could crush Awadh. So, he took all the important posts to make himself the in-charge of Awadh and the unofficial ruler. He also served Muhammed Shah very well, so muhammed shah did not remove Burhan-ul-Mulk(Saadat Khan) from his positions.

Burhan ul Mulk  also held the combined offices of subadari, diwani or faujidari. In other words, he was responsible for managing the political, financial and military affairs of the province of Awadh.
