What is the relationship between planning and control??..

Planning provides the standards against which actual performance is measured.Thus helps the manager in finding out where they have been deviating from the pre-determined plans and helps them in taking corrective actions.Finding deviations are a part of controlling.In the absence of planning one may not be able to find out deviations and therefore controlling cannot take place efficiently. hence planning is the basis for controlling and hence is interrelated.
