Dear Student
A lever is a simple machine. It consists of a rigid bar, which is capable of turning around a pivot, which is also called a fulcrum. Generally, we use a rod, which can rotate freely about the fulcrum.
There are three types of lever.
First class lever - It has the fulcrum in between the weight and the force applied.
Second Class Lever- It has the fulcrum is at one end and the force applied is on the other end. Weight is applied in middle.
