What happened to Din-I-Ilahi after the death of Akbar?

This was a moral code of conduct as per some historians which was meant for unity,religious tolerance etc.It faded away with the death of Akbar during whose reign it was practised to wider extent.Only some of his secular ideas were carried forward by his son.
