What does the term "Polished Traffic" mean??

In the poem, polished traffic refers to the rich or the elite class visiting the roadside stand.

'Polished traffic' refers to the more wealthier or posh individuals from the city. They do not even pause to buy something from the roadside stand. Even if they were to stop near the stand, it would only be to ask for directions or to admire the landscape which was supposedly "marred" by the clumsy shack. The poet expresses his frustration towards these people in his poem and wishes that at least someone would stop and buy something from the poor farmers in the shack who worked hard to make their produce.

Hope this helped! :)
