What are the merits and demerits of majoritarianism in Sri Lanka??
- Merits: powers exercised by those who are a part of the majority
- Demerits: Majoritarianism brought harm to the country Sri Lanka because by favouring the majority section of society, it alienated the minority section of society. They took to ethnic conflicts to demand for more share in power and resources which the government otherwise negated them.
