Try to solve these questions by this method

1. the no. of zeros - 2
2. 3x-4y-4=0
    9x-2y-7=0

BY, elimination method
  3x*3-4y*3-4*3= 0
  9x-12y-12=0

9x-12y-12=0
9x-2y-7=0
-    +    + [ changing signs]
now cancelling 9x

NOW
-10y-5=0
10y    =5
y        =5/10=1/2

now finding x ,
3x-4[1/2]-4=0
3x-2-4         =0
3x-6             =0
3x                =  6
x                 =  6/3  =  2

3. 1/3=1/3 not equal to -1/3
so inconsistent

ask them is an other question..

mark 3x+2y-4=0 as equation 1
mark 9x-2y-7=0 as equation 2

multiply equation 1 by 3
9x-12y-12=0
mark this equation as 3

subtract equation 2 from equation3

-10y-5=0
y=-1/2

put value of y in equation 1

3x- 4 * -1/2 -4=0
3x + 2=4
x=2/3
