In rectangle ABCD , length AB measures x+7 cm, while length CD measures 3x- 5 cm. If the breadth BC of the rectangle measures 2x-2 cm, then find the measures of all its sides.

please give me the answer.

AB = x + 7 cm

CD = 3x - 5 cm

BC = 2x - 2 cm

Length of opposite sides of rectangle is equal to each other.

=> x + 7  = 3x - 5

= 7 + 5  = 3x - x

= 12 = 2x

= 12/2 = x

= 6 = x

AB = x + 7 cm = 6 + 7 cm  = 13 cm

CD = 3x - 5 cm = 3*6 - 5 = 13 cm

BC = 2x - 2 cm = 2*6 - 2 cm = 10 cm

AD = 10 cm                  ( Length of opposite sides of rectangle is equal to each other. )

Therefore, all sides measure are -

AB = 12 cm

CD = 12 cm

BC = 10 cm

AD = 10 cm
