Q.6. Write a paragraph on your notion of what should India do, or achieve, to become a developed country.

Dear Student,

The following points may help you:

a. India can claim to be the largest democracy in the world, granting political freedom and equality to all.
b. People by virtue of fundamental rights participate in the governance of the country.
c. It has ensured power sharing to all the groups and has given adequate representation to the weaker sections of society. One can give example of Reservation policy.

d. India is the fastest growing economy in the world, rich in resources and strategically located. Major Powers of the world have realized the growing importance of the country in an international scenario.

e. However, there are certain challenges like Poverty, illiteracy, unemployment continue to hamper the progress of the country, Rampant corruption, red tapism, delays in the public process acts as a major hindrance, Caste, gender discrimination continues to haunt our society which are surely inimical to progress and development.
f. Thus, India in order to achieve success need to counter these challenges.
g. It must focus on human development , make massive investment in education, health sectors. 
h. It must encourage vocational education and training.
i, It must bring and create rapid employment opportunities in both rural and urban areas,
j. It must focus on the development of backward , remote regions
k. Must guarantee food security and must strive for self reliance
l. India also needs to focus on the development of its agricultural sector.
m. It must give impetus to IT sector and other allied services.
