Q.5. From the text, find out the per capita income level of middle-income countries as per WDR 2006.

Dear Student,

The following points may help you:

a.  
World bank has specified the criterion for categorising countries into developed, developing and underdeveloped countries 
b. Developed countries are characterised by high national income, per capital income.
c They are characterised by high level of industrialisation , infra structural development. 

.  As per the World development report, country with high national income, per capita income, GDP.is considered to be developed .
e. It is based on assumption that in countries with  high per capita income , people would have high standard of living and would be in a position to not only manage their basic necessities  but other things required to lead a  life. 

f.   Lower Middle income countries have per capita between $1,006 and $3,955 and upper middle income have $3,956 and $12,235​ ( 2018 figures).
g. We may give example of Malaysia, with $ 9,860 per capita , Argentina with $ 11,970  etc. ( 2016 data)
