in cyclic photo phosphorylation does splitting of water take place because its a cyclic process so the electron remains within the cycle. so if splitting take place will not there be excess no of electrons?

Dear student,
In cyclic photophosphorylation no splitting of water molecule occurs. The electron gets excited from PSI and is accepted by electron acceptor and the electron returns back to PSI and reduces it.
