I asked a doute if lesson forest of science but the expert did not answer

Dear student,
Please find below the answer:

The layers of forests are as follows:
EMERGENT LAYER-As you can see in the picture, the topmost layer is marked as the Emergent layer. Crowns of some trees in the forest emerge above the rest of the canopy. These emergents occupy the emergent layer.

CANOPY LAYER-Second marked layer is the canopy layer. You can see in the picture that the crowns of most of the trees have reached up to this length. As crowns of most the trees reach this layer, they together form a thick layer

UNDERSTORY/SHRUB LAYER-It consists of immature trees and small trees that are shorter than the main canopy level of trees. It also consists of woody vegetation that grows close to the ground.

FOREST FLOOR-This is the ground layer which consists of decaying leaves, twigs, fallen trees, animal scat, moss, and other detritus. This is the layer where the recycling process takes place.

Hope this clears your doubt.
Regards.
