how is the standard time of every country calculated in reference to GMT? State with example.

Solution-
The standard time is called as Greenwich mean time and it is taken as time reference of the earth. Now as one moves farther from GMT to the east one gets faster than the standard time and to the west of GMT one gets slower or backward to the standard GMT.For example take the case Indian Standard time.It is chosen the time of Mirzapur near Allahabad as standard time of India which is at 82.5 'East. So IST has a lead of 5 hours and 30 minutes over GMT.
