Contamination of water leads to:-

1. Gastro-intestinal diseases due to presence of microbes in drinking water which can be dangerous.
2. Through leaching process, fertilizer components like nitrates mix with ground water.This causes Blue Baby Syndrome in infants.
3.  If bioaccumulate in fishes and other food sorces, then it would be fatal.
