The total length of the cloth is 60 m
 It is given that the length of the cloth used to stitch cushion covers is 37 m 55 cm and to stitch pillow covers is 12 m 60 cm
Note that 1 m=100 cm, this implies that 1 cm=1 100 mThis further implies that,     37 m 55 cm=37 m +55 100 m                             =37m+ 0
55 m                          =37
55 mand     12 m 60 cm=12 m +60 100 m                             =12 m+ 0
60 m                          =12
60 mSo length of cloth used is,    37
55 m+12 60m=50
15 mSo the length of the cloth remaining in the roll is,     60m-50
15 m=9
85 m                               = 9 m and 85 cm
