'The Canterville Ghost' starts with the sale f the haunted house to the Otis family, who choose to buy and move into the castle despite being fully aware of the presence of a ghost in it. Sir Simon's ghost continues his attempts to scare the family: through a recurring blood stain, clanking of chains, elaborate scary outfits, frightening sounds.
