Ranji is a young boy from the village who likes to explore his surroundings.
Being a new person in Rajpur, his inquisitive mind helps him chance upon a pool.
His first encounter with Suraj shows that Ranji is very brave and determined.
During his second encounter, we find that he is an excellent diver and is also open to teaching Suraj.
Thus, we understand that he is actually very friendly and also his open admiration for Suraj’s strength shows that he is a very nice boy.
Character Sketch of Suraj:
Suraj, a young boy who is a Rajpur localite, at first comes off as very arrogant and domineering.
He claims the pool as his own and fights with Ranji for the same.
However, the second encounter, wherein Suraj is excited by the neat diving of Ranji and his request to teach him shows that his anger was just pretense.
He is portrayed as a very determined, friendly, and strong wrestler.
