Describe India at the time of Mughal invasion

The Mughals under Babur invaded India in 1526. At that time, northern India was ruled by the Lodi dynasty, which was one of the dynasties of the Delhi Sultanate. The Deccan was ruled by the Bahmani Kingdom while South India was ruled by the Vijanagara empire. The Europeans had started arriving in India. Thus, the Portuguese had established settlements in the western coast in places like Calicut and Goa.
