↵Deepak Kumar sir, You had answered one of my questions yesterday, but the answer was not at all understandable... Moreover in the answer from where did you include the case of metal parts of container .. which shoud not be written as it is not at all part of the question and its conditions...

This was the question:

"When ice is wrapped in a blanket it doesn't melt quickly." State any 2 detailed reasons for this.

Dear Student , "When ice is wrapped in a blanket it doesn't melt quickly. There are two following reasons     Wool is a bad conductor of heat.It do not permit heat rays to reach the ice easily and Blanket   work as an insulator . So there is no contact between the ice and the outside atmosphere So ice is wrapped in a blanket it does not melt quickly.  The wool acts as an insulator. Insulation works both ways. Keeps cold in if you insulate something cold Hot if it's hot.wool insulates the ice to prevent absorption of heat either by radiation, conduction, or convection.
