DEARSIR,
YOU SAID THAT TK-273 / 373-273 BUT YOU SAID FREEZING POINT IS 273.15 AND BOILING POINT IS 373.15 THEN HOW COULD IT BECOME TK-273/373-273?

Dear  Student,

To make the relation of two temperature scales we need 2 points in each one, so let's use the water vapor and ice points on the two scales: Kelvin: Ice Point: 273k Steam Point: 373k Celcius: Ice bridge: 0 ° C Vapor point: 100 ° C As we know that the temperature of the ice and vapor points for a substance are the same regardless of the scale, we will relate: TC-0 / 100-0 = TK-273 / 373-273 (we note that the variation of the two scales is 100) TC / 100 = TK-273/100 simplifying: TC = TK-273

Regards.
