CH triple bond C single bond CH double bond CH single bond CH double bond CH2
what is the name of this compound ? It should be Heaxa-5-yne - 1,3- diene right ? because acc to priority sequence double bond C is given more priority, so it should be written last, as we do when there is oic acid. right? pls clarify. thnx for the help.

The structure of the above compound is CHC-CH=CH-CH=CH2
The correct IUPAC of the above compound is hex-1,3-diene-5-yne.
According to the priority series alkene gets higher priority than alkynes. Therefore the carbon attached to double bond should be assigned as number 1.
As alkane, alkene and alkynes, all are always consider as suffix therefore we cannot consider it as a substituent ( i.e. prefix)
