Here, Cu is the metal and S is the non metal hence oxidation state of Cu will be +ve and that of S will be -ve.
As sulphur needs 2 electrons to complete octet it will accept 2 electrons thus forming S-- and oxidation state = -2
The 2 electrons will come from 2 Cu atoms.
Thus oxdiation state of Cu = +1
