A capacitor of 10 microfarad is charged to a potential difference of 20v. if it is discharged in 0.2s , the average current during dischrging is:

rn

a.1mA  c.4mA

rn

b.2mA  d.0.5mA

Given

C=10*10-6 Farad

V=20 Volt

t = 0.2 sec

  • 2

By the formula C = Q/V and thus Q = CV, given, Capacitance = 10-6 F, Voltage = 20V , therefore Q = 10-6 *20 C = 2*10-5 C. Given time = 0.2 secs, therefore I = Q/t or I = 2*10-5/0.2 A = 10*10-5 A = 10-4 A

The answer is 10-4 A, acc to me, i guess!
