Now, A+B's x days' work = x12Now, amount of work left = 1 - x12 = 12-x12Now, number of days taken by A to complete rest work = 20 × 12-x12 = 5312-xAccording to question :    5312-x = 10⇒12 - x = 6⇒x = 6So, B worked for 6 days
