   P = 1 atm.  V1 = V  V2 = 2V

Formula:

   W = -2.303 nRT log 

Putting the value of parameter in above formula, and calculate the work done.

   W = -2.303 x 2 x 0.082 x 298 x log2

  = -2.303 x 2 x 0.082 x 298 x 0.3010

  = -33.878 joule energy will be absorbed by the system.
