The train started at 4 hours and 20 mins in the afternoon and reached at 11 hours 40 mins before noon. What is the time taken by train for its journey?

convert 15kg 450g into kilograms now if I solve this problem as

1kg = 1000g  
15kg = 15 x 1000
= 15000 g
then if I add 15000g + 450g = 15450g
Then if i divide 15450 from 1000 
Then the answer comes 15.45 
Is this process correct?
