)There are two equations given in the book, at the time of splitting of water? 1)2H2O -----> 4H+ + O2 + 4e- 2)H2O -----> 2H+ +[ O] + 4e- And in the electron transport chain, it is being shown that couple of electron or 2 electrons are being transported everytime which comes from the splitting of water. I am confused which equation is correct.
And if they enter into antennae molecules then how they are further transported?
Well I have read in book, that singlet oxygen is produced due to water splitting and in the same book on the same page, its also written that OXYGEN GAS PRODUCED DURING SPLITTING OF WATER will be used as NET PRODUCT OF PHOTOSYTHESIS, then which equation to figure out as correct, if both are correct considering the balanced part, then what's the importance of nascent and oxgyen gase?? i m not getting this part?
