Zeff effective of potassium?

The only undergrad method of calculating the effective nuclear charge (Zeff) on the valence e- of K (4s^1) is by Slater's Rules [1]?
Zeff = Z - S where Z is the nuclear charge (Z(K) =19) and S is the screening of the nuclear charge by all the other e-s. S is calculated using Slater's Rules [1]?
(1s)^2 (2s,2p)^8 (3s, 3p)^8 4s^1?
(3s,p)^8 S = 8 ? 0.85 = 6.8?
(1s)^2 (2s,2p)^8 S = 10?1.0 = 10 Total S = 16.8?
Zeff = 19 - 16.8 = +2.2?
