you have told that possessive pronons are immediately followed by a noun .but if their is a sentence like "he does not like to eat an apple"
in this sentance he is the subject but 'does' is not an noun .so why have you said so.
Possessive pronouns are the pronouns indicating possession or ownership. For example: my, mine, our, their, yours etc.
Since, an adjective always comes before a noun and possessive pronouns also come after a noun therefore, possessive pronouns are also known as possessive adjectives.
The example given by you is incorrect because it does not have any possessive pronoun.
Some examples for possessive pronouns are:
- The book lying on the table is mine.
- Our teacher has taught me this lesson very nicely.
- My pen is not working. Can I borrow yours?
