A bus ride to watcha cricket match in a Village --

Few days back, a cricket match was organised in my native village called Daduwal. I and my sister were very excited to watch the cricket match and visit our native village.

On the day, when the match was to be played, we took a bus to our Village. It was a two- hour journey. The bus was old and crowded but luckily, we got seats. The passengers were very simple and friendly.

When we reached our village, we visited the village fair, where the match was to be played. The match was between two Village teams. In one of the team, my cousin was also playing. So, I was very excited.

The match was played on a rough pitch using makeshift, stumps and rubber ball. We cheered loudly for my cousin's team and that team won the match. THe match was really enjoyable and we ate a lot of snacks during the match. In the evening, we felt very tired so we travelled back to Jalandhar. I will always remember that exciting cricket match.

Last Sunday there was a cricket match in the village of Pratapgarh. It is about hundred kilometres for from my town. Early in the morning I started to go there. There was an old bus standing at the bus-stand for that village. Though it was very crowded, I could get a seat. The bus started at 6 am. Mostly the passengers were purely rural. They were talking in rustic manner. They were sweating. A fainting smell had spread all around. Still I was very comfortable. The passengers were coopera- tive. At about 8.30 am the bus reached the village. First I went to visit the temple of Lord Shiva. Then I visited the fair. At about 10 am I reached the cricket ground. A big crowd had assembled there. People were very excited. The match was really full of excitement though in a rural manner. It was a limited over match. It ended in a draw at about 4 pm. I got the same old rickety bus. I reached my home after the living journey. However I enjoyed the match—and the village people

On 1st of January which was new year ,I along with my family went to a village fair. The trip was tiring but enjoyable. I had a lot of fun there. During the travel through the bus I met a lot of people who were very friendly to me and my family. They loved to talk .As we were going to stay there for one night we had to know where to stay, as you know it was a village so we will not be able to find a hotel nearby as the city was about 4 hours from there. The people invited us to stay at there homes but we can't , then a man from behind the crowd said there was a resort where we could stay. Then we went to the resort he told us and the place was amazing. Our room looked liked a hut from outside and inside it had all the things that we need on daily basis. As it was too late so we went to sleep. I cannot wait for tomorrow for the fair.

We went to the fair next morning ,the fair was amazing. We also got to know that here we will get to see a cricket match between two different villages who are big rivals. But when we arrived as the pitch we saw that the pitch was a very rough surface ,the stumps were normal PVC pipes and the ball they were playing with was a rubber ball, but still they were playing happily. They are happy in what they have got and we people instead of saving resources we waste them. I was taught a good lesson on this trip .
