Write a report on Karnataka Assembly Election .

Such questions are meant to enhance your creative skills, please refer the following points to be included in your report:

a. You may refer to Karnataka Assembly elections which took place on 12th May in 222 constituencies.
b. The main political players in the elections were Congress which with its massive propaganda and anti Modi campaign sought to regain the state.
c. BJP, Janta Dal ( Secular ) , BSP and AAP emerged as important political parties in the election.
d. In your report focus on main issues of campaigning, with the 14 Day  Protect Bengaluru March by BJP which aimed to target the congress.
e. Congress on the other hand sought to highlight its achievements and target the centre government.
f.  Most importantly , focus on the political drama that surfaced after the elections , after the result as BJP winning 104 seats but failed to get the majority mark.
g. Congress and Janta Dal winning and 80 and 37 seats,and claimed to form a coalition government.
h. However, Governor  of the state invited BJP to form the government and prove its strength on the floor of the house within 15 days. This certainly gave window to BJP to coax and persuade MLA's from other parties to gain numbers.
i. With congress and JD ( S ) approaching the Supreme Court in an attempt to stop horse trading, BJP was given 24 hours to prove its strength, which it could not.
j.BJP however could not muster support.Later, Congress and JD ( S) formed the coalition government with Kumaraswamy as the chief minister.
