Treatment of the items in Domestic Factor Income in India

(i) Rent paid by the embassy of japan in India to a resident Indian is not be included in Domestic Factor Income of India as it is a factor income from abroad. 

(ii) Profits earned by branches of foreign bank in India is not be included in the Domestic Factor Income of India as it implies factor payments made abroad. 

Treatment of the items in National Income in India

(i) Capital gains to Indian residents from sale of shares of a foreign company is not included in National Income of India as it does not correspond production of any goods and services. 

(ii) Capital gain on sale of a house is not included in National Income of India as it does not correspond production of any goods and services. 

(iii) Interest received on debentures is included in the National Income of India as it is a part of Operating Surplus.

(iv) Scholarship given to Indian students studying in India by a foreign company is not included in the National Income of India as it is a transfer payment.

(v) Rent paid by embassy of japan in India to an Indian resident is included in the National Income of India as it is a factor income from abroad.
