Will propene show ?

Will propene thus obtained show geometrical isomerism? Think for the reason in support of your answer.

Dear student
Please find the solution to the asked query:

There are no geometric isomers for propene.
For an alkene with general formula

Geometrical isomers exist only if A and B are not same as well as C and D are not same.
In propene, CH2 =CH-CH3; groups A and B are same, so it there are no geometrical isomers.

Hope this information will clear your doubts regarding the topic. If you have any other doubts please ask here on the forum and our experts will try to solve them as soon as possible.
