Why were some of the Muslim political organisations lukewarm in their response to the Civil Disobedience movement? Give the MAIN REASON.     (1m)

Answer:
The large participation of Muslim organisations was only seen during the Non Cooperation Movement because of the Khilafat issue .
But as soon as the movement lost its momentum , muslims went away from Congress and after that didn't participate in any movement further .
In the year 1931 when Civil Disobedience Movement was launched there were clashes between Hindu Mahasabha and Muslim league as Muslims asked for separate electorate for muslim communities .Few members of Hindu Mahasabha strongly opposed it and the distrust and stress continued between the two. Thereafter, Muslims also raised their demand for separate state i.e. Pakistan.
