why is there a need to harness non conventional sources of energy?????

Hi,

 There is need to harness non conventional sources of energy because fossil fuels are non renewable sources of energy as they take millions of years to form, and reserves are being used much faster than new ones are being made. Thus there is need to explore other sources of energy rather than finishing the existing ones.

Non conventional sources of energy are such sources of energy which are not in routine use of so far such as geothermal energy and solar energy.Due to rapid industrialisation our living standards are improving and there is a demand for more and more energy.As our conventional sources of enegy are depleting we have to tap new sources and develop technology to capture and store energy from such resourses.
