why India doesn't have enough food to feed it's population

It is true that  India doesn't have enough food to feed it's population. This is mainly because of the following factors.

a. India has a massive growth of population. The consumption of food is more compared to the production.

b. The schemes and programmes adopted by the government in order to provide food to the poorer section does not get implemented properly.

c. The PDS system which is meant for the Below Poverty Line population is ineffective and corrupted for which food does not reach to many.

d. Food gets wasted in the FCI godowns due to lack of distribution.

e.Farmers also face problems due to lack of money, cold storage, unpredictable climatic conditions which affect crop production.

Well we can say that india produces enough food for its entire human population though there are distribution and storage problems. I will give two points in support of my argument
1. Food is rotting in FCI godowns (Tonnes of foodgrains rotting at FCI godown in Thrissur)
2. Government is bringing food security bill which will ensure food for poor at low cost. In order to bring such bill there should be enough food available in country, you simply can't rely on imports. (Food Security Bill likely during Monsoon Session)
