The britiesh attacked india because there was a lot of wealth.Another important factor that helped Britiesh to attack was the disunity among the indian. Hence it was neccessary to join the indian union

The Indian nawabs had to be persuaded because they did not want to surrender their independence to the Indian union.

One of the major challenges that Independent India was with regard to the Princely states. There were around 500 Princely states with Independent Nawab. They had to be persuaded because:
a. To complete the process of integration. b. It would not have been possible to have independent Princely states within an Independent country c. Many Nawab like Nizam of Hyderabad wanted to retain their independence, thus they had to be persuaded.

because before india's independence all nawabs failed to defeat british so when india gained independence nawabs were also free so theypersuaded to join the indian union
