Why do sons of a haemophilic father never suffer from this trait?

  • Haemophilia is a X-linked recessive trait.A son will recieve one gamete from both his parents.
  • Since it is a son he will recieve the Y gamete from his father and the X gamete from his mother.
  • The Y gamete never holds a trait in any case. The trait will be only on the X gamete.
  • So even if the father show the disease, the son will not get the affected gene from his father.

bcoz it is linked with x chromosome so if mother is not haemophilic the son will never suffer from it.
