The plants perform the process of photosynthesis to make their own food. Plants take in CO2 or carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through the tiny pores present on the surface of their leaves (which are called stomata), during the process of photosynthesis.
The CO2 and water acts as the raw materials for photosynthesis and the products formed in this process are oxygen and carbohydrates.
