Why do arteries have thick walls and veins have thin?

arteries have thick walls because blood is pumped from the heart to other parts of the body and there is high pressure to prevent the arteries from bursting the walls are thick.

on the other hand blood flowing through the veins have low pressurethus thick walls are not needed.

this is because in arteries the blood pressure is high so they are thick whereas in veins contain de-oxyginated blood and have low presssure of blood, and also because it is not being pumped by the heart.

Arteries have thick walls because blood is pumped from the heart to other parts of the body and there is high pressure to prevent the arteries from bursting the walls are thick.

And blood flowing through the veins have low pressure thus thick walls are not needed.
