Why are longitudes used for defining time zones and not latitudes?

SOLUTION:

Latitudes are horizontal lines on earth's surface and longitudes are vertical lines on earth's surface. Since, earth rotates vertically and not horizontally that is the reason we use longitude to measure time and not latitude.
