Why a ant is not a scavenger beacase when coacroaches die they eat them

Ant is considered as Scavenger as they eat the flesh of the dead organism. They pick what they need as food from dead decaying insects and therefore they are known as very important decomposers. However, it depends on the species of ants what they prefer to eat but when the food supply become short most of them feed upon dead organisms as well.
